HUFCOR™ Acoustic Operable Walls (7000 Series);

CHALLENGE

Visiting the Emporium Mall located in Johar Town in the heart of the majestic city of Lahore, is an enthralling experience. It brings together a combination of rich culture, trend-setting fashion, and delectable cuisine making it a one-of-a-kind experience for its visitors. The 11-story mall has over 200 stores of international leading brands and a 5-star boutique hotel. Highlights of the mall include an enormous food court that seats 3,000, a screen Cineplex, a children’s recreational zone, banquet halls, and a hypermarket.

Nishat Hotel and Properties, owned by Nishat Group, Pakistan’s leading business group, wanted to create a modern structure that would give its shoppers an exclusive shopping experience they would remember. Gibca Furniture had the task of working on the different ballrooms creating unique space solutions using Hufcor that would allow the large areas to be easily adjusted to the needs of the client.

SOLUTION

Gibca Furniture supplied and installed a total of 4 nos. Hufcor operable partitions in the Banquet hall area 6-meter height creating a space that could adjust to the needs of the event. Gibca Furniture supplied and installed 3 nos. operable walls with a large opening of 31 meters for the Ballroom. This allowed the entire area to be divided into 4 halls, maximizing its use. Hufcor offers a single-leaf pass movable door in each of its partitions, this, in turn, allows individuals to easily access all the halls. For the Junior Ballroom, 1 movable partition with 16 meters opening width, allows the area to be divided into two separate halls. Not only does this allow for easy access but Hufcor Operable Walls also offer an acoustic pocket door that gives excellent acoustic efficiency.

RESULT

The client successfully achieved its goal of creating multifunctional halls that give flexibility to fully optimize the ballroom and banquet area while keeping the sound separation from each hall when multiple events are being held simultaneously.
