Washroom Cubicles –Vizua

CHALLENGE

The client required a washroom area design that will create a harmonious blending in Time Out Market’s multi-cultural ambiance. Since the beginning, Gibca was confident that a fully customized Vizua range of cubicles will be the best fit to fulfill the client’s specific needs. However, the level of customization was not something that we anticipated.  Our experience of using different materials to create our products came in handy.

SOLUTION

A framework design that supports the cubicle door leaf and divider panels without compromising the aesthetics was produced. Hardware interface between a metal framework and an 18 mm thick metallic laminate-faced sandwich panel was developed.

Multiple miniature samples were created during the design process and gradually the final product emerged that exhibited the perfect blend between metal and HPL .

The designer team comprising of JessKonsal architecture, Zebra and John R Harris and partners had a specific vision for the project.

We were lucky to be working with a contractor like DUTCO Interiors. Their support on the project in keeping the communication lines open between all parties, helping connect the dots to complete the pattern, and finally preparing and managing the site for installation works shows why Dutco is the preferred contractor for such unique projects.

Looking at the installation pictures it is evident that a simple cubicle would not have fit in the overall project theme – which relied heavily on the use of various metal surfaces to create a functional yet robust design.

Brushed Metallic finish 18mm sandwich panels with powder-coated aluminum profiles matching the black aluminum mesh ceiling were integrated into our Vizua cubicle design. Fully framed door leaves mounted on metal posts astound you with the way they blend with the surroundings.

Turns out when it comes to design standing out is far easier than trying to blend and become one with the theme.

The installation is proof of GIBCA’s capability to customize and willingness to translate a designer’s vision into a functional product. Working to integrate aesthetics never compromised the functionality that an end-user expects from the product. As with all our products the cubicles are designed to handle the heavy usage expected on a popular spot like this.

The client – Time Out Market was extremely delighted and impressed with how everything turned out. Apart from meeting their needs, the class and sophistication were also manifested even from the smallest details of our product delivery, thus making it a classified one-of-a-kind installation of the Gibca team.
