Washroom Cubicles – Primera & Vogue

CHALLENGE

Formarke School is a prestigious private school located in the Dubai Science Park. They cater to the youngest academic learners providing a solid foundation to help them excel in the next stage of education. In 2013, Gibca worked with Formarke School and Brookfield Multiplex Constructions to complete a whole new children’s washroom cubicle design and installation for their facility. The client required the thirty-nine washroom cubicles designed to keep their young pupils in mind with exciting colors and safety of use.

SOLUTION

Throughout the course of the project, Gibca kept the client’s objective in mind while designing and manufacturing the washroom cubicles doors. The project team selected Primera and Vogue models for this project as they were the perfect fit. The sturdy panels are created with high-pressure laminate, 13mm thick, and are most suited for high-traffic wet areas. They are water-resistant and scratch proof offering long-term use of the product. We also installed thumb-turn locks with red/white indicators, facilitating easy use for the children. All the hinges and brackets were stainless steel for both models. Primera offers the unique feature of adjustable foot and aluminum top rail. While the Vogue model offers continuous stainless-steel foot and aluminum top rail. The top portion of the door panels was designed with round edges, coat hooks, and door stoppers.

The color palette consisted of Primera washroom cubicles in turquoise blue/lime green and orange/purple and Vogue cubicles in Fine Bamboo. These colors allowed the team to create three unique designs to brighten up the space and make it more inviting for the children.

RESULT

The project was very well received by the clients and the consultant. Gibca’s team ensured that all the project objectives were covered and the communication lines were always kept open with the key stakeholders. This allowed us to gauge feedback through the course of the project and make any adjustments as required. The end result for our washroom cubicles, was Formarke School having vibrant and durable washroom cubicles that will last them for many years to come.
